Interesting tip is to remove the pressure of the saw while it is still hot.
Thereby preserves the steel molecules in its original form and hardness, we have a much longer time of use.
I use this process for years, both in manual saw as my band saw at last in all the saws I have. :idea:

Interesting, Hotz. Has it been your experience that your sawblades stay sharper or last much longer?
I try to not let the blades heat up too much if I can while cutting metal. Slow speeds and thread tapping oil helps to cool the surface and keep the bimetal blades shaper for longer.
For wood I don't worry about it, but I use a carbide tipped saw blade that can take a lot of heat.
