Where there is a need there is a way. That tool is one I wish I had all my life. I suffer from back problems and for years have refused to own a pull start device. Now if / when details are available I will own one just because I think it is a great idea and tool.

Note the date on these. I contacted the builder after I first saw it. After several surgeries and infections, I no longer have the strength I once had and this was a great solution. However to date, he still has not made any. A great idea is no good if you can't use it

I too had back and neck surgery and did not want to do away with my yard tools.

This universal pull start is awesome and I would like to see available for sale or at least plans to make. BUT IN THE MEAN TIME

Here was my solution to this problem. simply remove the rope pull from the motor and underneath you have the crankshaft nut.

Get a 1 dollar set of drill to 1/4 3/8 1/2 inch ratchet adapters for your drill. Put the proper socket on and your drill and set upon the

crankshaft nut. wala instant electric starter. I have done this for lawn mowers and pressure washers.

I strongly advise not using this technique as it would be very easy for the engine to start with the socket & drill still attached. That could easily result in significant injuries. You really need a bayonet style connection between the drill & the motor to be safe.
