I would love to buy 1 of the as I am a disabled vet that still has to do my yard work so this would make life so much easier ( and probably get more done).
Please contact me and let me know how I can get 1 of these. Thank you
Thank you, one and all, for the informative suggestions. Now all I have to do is decide which way to go, but at least I feel a whole lot more optimistic than when I first explained my problem. Thank you, once again.
That is awesome, I might have to make one myself! :)
Where there is a need there is a way. That tool is one I wish I had all my life. I suffer from back problems and for years have refused to own a pull start device. Now if / when details are available I will own one just because I think it is a great idea and tool.
Thanks for posting and I hope your body heals well.
I like your tool. the Pull-starter looks to work great. Can you post the design. oR say where one can be purchased?
tHANKS.
looks good in the video have a friend with a replaced shoulder wood like to have plans
Note the date on these. I contacted the builder after I first saw it. After several surgeries and infections, I no longer have the strength I once had and this was a great solution. However to date, he still has not made any. A great idea is no good if you can't use it
I too had back and neck surgery and did not want to do away with my yard tools.
This universal pull start is awesome and I would like to see available for sale or at least plans to make. BUT IN THE MEAN TIME
Here was my solution to this problem. simply remove the rope pull from the motor and underneath you have the crankshaft nut.
Get a 1 dollar set of drill to 1/4 3/8 1/2 inch ratchet adapters for your drill. Put the proper socket on and your drill and set upon the
crankshaft nut. wala instant electric starter. I have done this for lawn mowers and pressure washers.
Here is a .99 cents harbor freight coupon for the adapters:

Hope this helps you VETS out as well as the old timers

I strongly advise not using this technique as it would be very easy for the engine to start with the socket & drill still attached. That could easily result in significant injuries. You really need a bayonet style connection between the drill & the motor to be safe.
