    Repeating crossbow - GIF

    Invented in ancient China about 400 BCE, the repeating crossbow has a lever-operated reload and firing mechanism that allows the crossbowman to fire 10 bolts in 15 seconds.

    Gess ler William Tell would/may have liked that. It seems reasonably accurate over the short distance but probably not enough to split an apple on ones family head.
