Router plane
Attachment 26636I decided to make a router plane or two. Attachment 26633and this is what I ended up with. I use the small one often on hinges and the like and even made the cutter but I could not decide on a handle configuration for the large one. So to eliminate my indecision I made two different “ball styles and another tote style. The larger one has purchased cutters because I was getting lazy.Attachment 26634Attachment 26634Attachment 26635Please excuse the pic arrangement??

Those are gorgeous. More castings from your Amish foundry connection? (I saw your shoulder plane the other day, too, and it's also an exquisitely made tool, seriously, like museum-grade :-)

That’s a nice pair of Granny’s Tooth’s there.

Yah got me a thinnin.
Generally a dangerous path to getting something done!

Beautiful work Englewood! The shapes and grain of the handles are real eye candy! I'm curious also where you got the castings? And I'm assuming you made the beautiful box for them as well?
Thanks very much for sharing this with us. Craftsmanship at it's best.

Thank you very much. These are not castings the small one is a structural T and the large one is a hog out from .5 plate. And yes I made the box from scrapes from the handles
