Interesting, It took a lot of guys to disarm him using non-lethal force. Here we would have just shot him.

Amen...a couple of well placed bullets would have ended that incident. That's what happens when you bring a knife to a gun fight!

Notice that nobody got hurt. The multiple poorly placed police bullets, as well as the perps spray into the crowd ...

Somewhat disturbing video of (assumedly, no way to verify) Chinese police arresting people for not wearing masks in public. Anyway, I'm posting it here because you can see a sasumata around 1:53.

certainly a different culture displayed... I can't imagine any of our public officials publicly kicking, or slapping people as part of an arrest, especially after they're cuffed.

Certainly different to the image the Chinese government likes to show. Instead of beating the **** out of people why not just hand them a mask and maybe a fine.
    Communism sucks big time.

You make a good point Karl, nobody got hurt. Now the justice department will take over and do it's job. Maybe there will be newspaper articles warning the public that such persons exist in their society, beware. But know that you can take your own action to protect yourself and those around you. Hopefully the offender will repent and repair his life after jail. But even if he doesn't the rest of the population will be shown that crime doesn't pay, which is the real reason for prisons in the first place, train the public to act correctly.

Police shooting and killing the person would have been a 1 minute action which would be quickly forgotten by the public and no one will have been taught a lasting lesson.
