    A "security" compression spring die

As I have at least three or four times in a week small compression springs to replace or put on new tools, the security is always the problem when you use steel cord on a lathe, then I've made a small and inexpensive tool which never need to have your hand at the wrong place when you are at the end of the metal, it's very dangerous for fingers.
Here you have the left hand on the left under the axis for the tension at the beginning, after you can let it without handling and take some distance, all is as for normal spring making after that.

And you can see on the link how it's made, the cost is under 5$ finally in material.appareil pour ressorts | lecollectionneur.ch | Pierre_G.
