Sheave amputation and confined space warning signs - photos

Two classic genuine warning signs. Hard to decide a winner here.

I like all of the separate little segments in the sheave, complete with the fully amputated hand. However, it falls short in the facial expression area; plus sign for an eye? Give me a break.

The confined space warning sign is a gem too. Not just the facial expression, but the fact that the "hazard triangle" acts as both a standard warning symbol border, as well as the actual confined space itself. Brilliant.

    Toolmaker51's Tools
When mentoring, many kids are kind of pasty. Not only objecting to dirt on hands, but a semi-natural aversion to machinery; bandsaws in particular. So they show up with gloves, baggy clothing, etc.
I demonstrate how a sharp cutter can't cut very much fibrous material, wrapping it instead.
    They get the picture.
