I was last in China in 2019 and even then gas was not all that cheap. There is no personal taxes in China. There is Corporate taxes. And luxury taxes. Many highways are toll roads, gas is taxed. Gas cars are strictly limited to keep pollution in check. There is some good ideas over there. Same as here. I think the best one is the normal government term of 10 years, that allows stuff to be done.
