Small Tap Handles or Tap Wrench

Two small tap handles for the smaller sizes of taps. Just some 1018 bar stock and some knurled knob screws.
The larger one is the "standard size" used for taps up to about 1/2" or so. A bit too big for the small taps.

Other than my piloted tap handles your design is my favorite. Using the standard type (shown by you at the top) it's all too easy for the clamp that holds the tap to work loose and have the tap fall onto the concrete floor. With the style you show, that never happens. Like you I have two - one inherited and one self-made.

    Thanks Marv,
The opening of the commercial variety is one reason I made the two shown. Not my design of course. I think someone from the way back time invented them!

Yep can confirm the other style results in a Lot of dropped taps. Nice work by the way.
