Small Welding / Fabrication Table

I'm new to this forum but thought I would share with you my take on a small welding / fabrication table. For the most part I'll let the pictures explain everything. Here they are:

The table top is laser cut from 1/2" thic plate and the slots are 1/2" thick to accept 1/2" T-nuts.

Beautifully done. The one thing that looks a bit questionable is the distance of the legs front to back and the effect that may have on the stability of the table . I assume that the tube fixture is to hold a vise and other tooling, so you will likely be applying lateral forces filing, bending, and etc. I personally like my welding table higher to save my back from the indignities of an aging. If any of those conditions become a problem for you have a look at how I solved them below.

Great table! Yeah, I need to go a bit higher also, bad back and gravitational pull,ya know.
