    Solid fuel forge

    Hi all!
I'm trying to make a solid fuel side forge, useful even as a barbecue

I found good metal scrap, a round part thick 1\2", good as base. I did air intake from square tube. A broken hairdryer, resistor is gone, will be the air source, I hope it will survive
I built lateral bulkheads from 0,8mm steel, I folded with hammer the edges, because they are really sharp!

I'm thinking about making them detechable, in order to clean and to use as barbecue

    Small update
It's ready the conversion from forge to barbecue
316 marine steel, I buyed some months ago as faraday cage for my plasma tweeter, never used for this purpose.
15cm high, good size to be practical inside forge and very easy to clean with soap or a pressure washer

I found this fan, imho too much powerful as forge source, I'm thinking about possibility to use with an air valve

Hola Rendoman, lindo proyecto y en realidad se ve muy poderoso ese forzador pero creo que si se deja libre una parte de la salida de aire podría enviar menos caudal a la fragua, suerte y hasta pronto.

    Thanks Jotasierra!
I added the air intake, I hope in a good position for cooling engine and not damage plastic body of fan
Have to finish welding and to make the slide valve, hope in a couple of day to finish!

    Finished!
I added a front cover and opened a lateral window. I'm not sure of the height of the round cover, maybe I will cut after some attempt.
Slide valve on air intake runs good, currently I don't know how much air forge needs, but I can modify the flux from 0 to max.

Ps: I will add a ready to use switch on off to drive fan

Hungry tired, needing to relax. Already in Northern Italy too [just in case this flew under your radar] I disconnected link for page space. You can unwrap it like a gift.
