    Table Saw Motor Resto-Mod.

Table Saw Motor restoration-rebuild. Bearings refurbished.

The bearings were making noise really loud I was sure I was going to have to replace the bearings but I tried some WD 40 on them after I had opened the motor case and oiled them as these bearings have a small slit where saw dust can get in now the bearing are running smooooooth. o yah.
I also made a spacer for the guard cover seen here.

You got lucky on that one! My Rockwell Delta 9" table saw pillow block bearings for the saw blade are going bad and will have to be replaced (second time in 47 years). I have been putting this off because these are not too bad but I can tell the difference. I am not looking forward to removing the bearings.

The belt guard provided by Rockwell is a nice addition. Also, I converted my table saw drive belt to a Grizzly T21992 Power Twist V-Belt (Fenner Link Belt) and it makes the saw very vibration-free. This is the same type of drive belt I use on my 12" swing geared-head gap bed lathe and helps to produce even finer machined finishes by removing belt vibrations. I later found out that HF has their Accu-Link Belt drive and for a lot less money.

    Thanks Captain.
I already used one of your table saw restoration ideas and bought a new power switch with a BIG off button (Woodstock D4151 110/220-Volt Paddle Switch). I will do the same for my homemade router table.
