No wheelie bars or lead weights, brakes? Scary. Buddy had a 65 Grand Sport...giddiup fun.
I am the builder of that crazy contraption I call the 'Irrational Harvester'. Here is a current pic of it.

Great Name and well done! Thanks for letting us know it was yours! Love to see more details of it.
Thanks, ~PJ
Wow, that was fast! I'm guessing you saw the comment on your YouTube video. Well done on that build, sir.
Although, among this crowd, you might find that putting a Nailhead in a tractor seems perfectly rational. :D
Working class heroes...we all like things "...that roll and go" Cuz all know single carb four banger just plain inadequate. Doesn't need full steering either, proved that tweaking the carb linkage. Short wheelbase and torque make corners free.
A giddiup fan here too. Giddiup, I only heard that in California. Funny how an western colloquialism merged decades within arguable center of the automotive universe. Some would say Detroit; but who was following who's lead?
Like Burt Munro, 1899-1978 “You live more in five minutes on a bike [or garden tractor] like this going flat out than some people live in a lifetime.”
I first heard Giddiup when I was in TX and thought I brought it out west....oh well. The only thing I would never test drive was the Vega a gal brought in with a built Olds 350 stroker and pumpkin. It had stock drum brakes and no power booster. She needed her rear air shocks changed and talked her into making it a dual feed instead of single...ya think.
I'm with you on Burt Monro...a Man with some real Giddiup!
Well, the origin certainly could be TX.
Lots of them went west. And they'd only have to be a day older than me...:3stooges:
I remember era the Vega probably reflects, horsepower and powertrain, no equivalent brakes or handling. Asian cycles fit right in, 750cc's, bushed swingarms, and little single disc brakes - effective as a white flour pancake.
Guess speed seems even faster when you can't stop or turn!
