Elsewhere though, guys from Iowa apparently are the pioneers.

I've been at just one event they catered. But I'll never forget.
When they say hot off the grill they mean it.

I love the rotating griddle...looks well seasoned and the 4H kids in the background looks like fun to me. Might be a fun project to build one.

TM51...What a great video, fun time for all and the kid that got the big one...his day was Made! I've heard of Chris Cakes before but never knew they did it like this. This is just my kind of event, for first responder's and with them! Thanks TM51, nice to see this first thing! I guess we're having pancakes this morning...Yup.

Wow, knew they were good, didn't know THAT good. Farthest pitch I witnessed was about 18'. Someone's got a good arm to make West Coast....

Growing up in the 50's, the Kiwanis Club and the volunteer fire department each had an annual pancake breakfast with the same hand operated dispenser, but their grills (actually the grills at the Community Center) were fixed, not rotating.

Honestly I have no idea what they're making, but considering the size, pizza crusts make sense. It's a real cool look at three weird machine motions. I like that last little guy who flips the finished product up onto that red conveyor belt.

Edit: it's only cooking them on one side. Pizza crust or something similar certainly makes sense.

Seems to me to be more like a rice paper spring roll skin or something similar.
The batter seems way to thin even for the cracker type pizza crusts.

Here is a vid of a Vietnamese shop making rice paper by hand - seems about the same time on the heat element and the same consistency of the batter.

They're pan frying as opposed to steaming but it looks very similar. If it were France I'd say Crepes but they're only cooked on one side.

That's why my first thoughts were the thin crusts for frozen pizza Seared just enough to stabilize the dough . the batter consistency doesn't quite fit though.
yeah it could be crapes or something similar, but what ever they are the conveyor could be carrying them to be passed though an oven for further cooking
