    Unique tow truck GIF

Unique tow truck GIF. Not sure what country this is, but it looks like a clever way to extract a vehicle from a busy city.

Update: I googled the "TAT KOFTE" text on the motorbike, which appears to be a restaurant in Istanbul, Turkey.

That would be an awesome truck for a repo man to have.

Saw this in Germany many years ago. Essential for narrow streets and inconsiderate drivers. Not needed here in South Africa where most streets are pretty wide and the chances are that your car will be stolen before the parking time limit expires anyway.

I guess the tow truck driver secures the vehicle a bit after lifting it, but we don't see that in this GIF?

Hans - if you haven't heard of it already, you might like a previous post I made about The Blaster, an anti-carjacking flamethrower invented in the 1990s in Johannesburg: The Blaster: anti-carjacking flamethrower

We here were also rather shocked at the flame thrower idea and it never got off the ground. My car theft comment was meant to be tongue in cheek.

It's admittedly controversial. But unusual, and still interesting.
