Vertical Vise
Vertical Vise, Made from CRS / HRS and a handle from Grizzly machines. If you make one of these be sure to put a grub screw in the small block to hold the ram screw in the hole.

Their are a number of uses for this vice.
1. mandrel, for forming sheet metal. 2. Welding round stock holder 3. Welding hex stock holding.

I use lock tight for the set screw to keep the screw in place.

Grooves?
I noticed one version has a slotted base & block, and the other one doesn't. I'd think the slots would often be handy, and rarely a problem. Did you make 2 versions, or did you add the slots as an upgrade?
