DESCRIPTION:
Homemade 3-phase rotary converter constructed from a surplus motor, a 30-amp breaker box, a disconnect switch, four capacitors, and heavy-gauge wire.

Although I have been told it will not work I saw a 3 phase turbine pump being run on single phase 240 volt power. The farmer said this is easy to do, Just hook the two 120 volt wires up and then grab a lead from one of those same lines and hook to the wild leg. I can supply pictures of the wiring on my 3 phase air compressor which has been running on single phase power for 26 years with no problems. Let me tell you I cringed when I turned the power on for the very first time, but it works fine.
