Homemade drum sander intended to fit the lathe of a ShopSmith 510. Dust collection apparatus was constructed from PVC fittings and a 12" length of 4" OD pipe.

Clever use of a ShopSmith to come up with a drum sander.

I appreciate the adaptation to a shopsmith...I'll need to noodle on what motor I have that would be the start of my own unit.  I sure like the idea of a really big drum sander.  This is a very clever use of plumbing parts for the dust collection...PVC to the rescue!
