DESCRIPTION:
Homemade wagon vises constructed from wood and intended as inserts capable of being dropped into any existing workbench. Shims and dog holes yield a total travel of just over 6" and are actuated by means of an 8-degree wedge.

I wouldn't have expected wedges being used in this application, but they do come in very handy in the right predicament!
