This is a very interesting post! I read the wiki on the trial, and then did a little research on the swastika on the truck.
I couldn't really find anything firm on the meaning of the swastika at that time, in that place, except maybe "good luck." There was one reference that some groups were using it to espouse "alt-right" beliefs, but the timeline was "post World War 1", and I didn't want to push the envelope on the time, although it's roughly in the window.
Anybody have any ideas? I realize HomemadeTools.net isn't the "exact" place for this, but "there's no place like home." And my father-in-law and I will be talking about power hammers at dinner tonight. Thanks to y'all.
