Wow! Now that really surprised me. Warms the heart, to realize the challenges that were flawlessly overcome — by instruments that were, themselves, works of art.
Wow! is right! I still have my granddad's drafting gear, in a leather case in very poor condition. On occasion, maybe once a year, I'll pull out the compass and draw a circle for a wood project...just because I can! ...not that I don't have 3 compasses already in the workshop...The sad part is, no one wants anything to do with manual drafting anymore...thanks for the post.

I use cad for cnc, but on occasion I turn off the PC and just sit down with the paper pad, pencils, and drafting tools just because I enjoy it.Quote:
