There's a glaring example of renewable technology being suppressed to protect the steel industry. Don't tell me that they give a twopenny damn about the enviroment

It is remarkable technology that is still being used in other applications. It is somewhat commonly used as electrical insulation on wiring and as thermal insulation inside house walls. The biggest issue with soy-based plastic is the tendency of mice and other animals to eat it. That can cause problems.

Related: the now-faded soy "milk" trend was inspired by a commercial opportunity resulting from literally milking a surplus soy product from the soybean industry.
