    That price tag of $497 in 1963 equals about $5K today.

    Our fridge (probably similar or the same to everyone else on this forum's fridge) works just fine, but it seems like the drawers and shelves have been designed with planned obsolescence in mind. They crack and break easily, and what a surprise, the replacements are exorbitantly priced.

    That's right,Jon,we've got the same problem in Russia,Liebherr fridge.I've replaced the doors handles because of a total plastic collaps.It is the real agreement of the damn manufacturers.
