I discovered this website on the ShopSmith user forum. My interests include: woodworking (ShopSmith: Mk V 520, planer, shaper, bandsaw, Excaliber scroll saw), metalworking (Sherline mill, lathe - one manual & one CNC ea.), house renos. I'm located in Calgary, AB. Recent project: new basement workshop w/ spray foam wall/ceiling insulation, soundproofed walls, high efficiency ceiling lighting, exhaust fan, supplementary radiant heating in ceiling. Current project: inner storm windows for a 2000 sq ft house, constructed w/ screen frames, vinyl 'panes', foam tape on edges for moisture sealing - these convert dble pane windows to triple pane, with major increase in comfort & reduction in radiation heat loss - because of cold winters i.e. at least one -40C (-40F) cold spell/year.

Hi Jon,
I've now looked over all the maching plans - didn't see any of interest for now, but will keep looking periodically. I also looked at all the other categories as well, specifically focused on woodworking jig plans and shopsmith-related threads - no plans there, but lots of other forum members looking for feedback on their current project aspirations or showing pictures of their recently completed projects.

One question: Many of the machining plans I did see seem to have originated? (or are linked?) to other homebuilding sites. Does that mean that the homemadetools site is primarily a satellite site to these other sites?
