In that case you need to determine the travel distance required of the die versus the available travel distance of the applying force in this case possibly a hydraulic jack. if you need 2" of die travel and your jack has 6 inches the available force would be 3 to 1 ignoring any resistance forces such as the coefficient of friction 20 tons could effectively be turned into 60 tons but more probably not more than 55 tons

These are only the first of the dies. I'm sure to make more as needed, since it doesn't take much to whip up a set. You can weld anything onto a piece of .25" x 2"x 4" steel with the dies being 3" wide.

this foot pedal has one inlet and two outlets. I capped one outlet. It is a TEMCo PV0011. I got it off fleabay. Hope this helps.
If I get more involved in the press work I'll have my brother in law put something together for me. That will cost though. This project was actually around $100 with the foot pedal.
