22 year old scrap Daewoo matiz CAR converted to Homemade BACKHOE..

    Hi pals,
This is my homemade DIY backhoe excavator project. A 22year old daewoo matiz car, which would have otherwise gone as scrap, was transformed into a useful backhoe excavator. This machine can be used for farming, cultivating vegetables, digging pond etc. Similar way, very old vehicles can be transformed into useful backhoe, rather than disposing them as scrap, at extremely low cost.

Great work. I see in the Youtube comments you added a hydraulic gear pump which is chain driven off the engine. Had you considered using the power steering pump?

    I am pretty sure tha
t little car does not have power steering and if it did the pump would be tiny.

Infact this car has power steering. But as you told, the pump is tiny..will not develop the flow rate required for operation of the hydraulic cylinders..

Thanks friend.I think a hydraulic steering pump, which is a vane pump, will also work for this application. I used a gear pump just because it was available with me..
