Ever have a problem with those nylon nuts that hold that toilet seat down? Someone always seems to have attempted to install or remove these with something that chews them up and makes your job even nastier. Here's another rough little homemade socket that has helped me. A short piece of 1/2 B.I.pipe welded to a junked 3/8 drive socket. Four notches cut out of the pipe nipple. Snap a ratchet and short extension ( if needed) on the socket and grab that pesky hold down nut and off,,or on,,it goes!
