    360° Sprinkler Head Shield

Have you ever tried to adjust the flow rate of a 360° sprinkler head while it is running? By the time the adjustment is completed, I am completely soaked. There has to be a better way! I doubt this is the best way, but it is a better way.

    That's a clever solution, Rick

I just wait for a hot day, put on shorts and a thin shirt, barefoot and enjoy getting soaked. We have hot summers here in LaLaLand too and I actually enjoy sprinkler adjustment. The only problem I have is that I leave my glasses in the house and then can't easily find the slot in the adjustment screw.

I know what Phoenix in summer is like so it might work for you too.

Incidentally, that cutoff milk jug, if turned upside down, becomes an excellent "parts funnel". Dump out a drawer of small parts to search for the desired size and then simply dump the sorting tray into the funnel to put them back in their storage container.

    Marv,

It would be fun to start a series of tools based on re-purposed milk jugs.

Yes, indeed. Repurposed one liter soda bottles as well. My understanding is that they are made of a plastic that will shrink if exposed to flameless heat from a hot air gun. This opens all sorts of possibilities for making wood or metal forms and shrinking plastic around them to produce all sorts of useful items.

    Marv,

I think pop bottles will shrink a little but they mostly distort. Maybe plastic bottles and PVC pipe will be a winning combination when heat is applied. I'll be thinking about it.
