Lower support is made of lead...maybe.
Lead or gallium or something soft. Gauge barely registers...interesting stutter in the video before the base deforms. Also the raised lip on the base seems odd.

a Sphere is a tough nut to crack in many materials. I would have tried freezing the ZrO2 with dry ice then hit it with a chisel. It is impressive that it dented the ball pein and embedded in the mild steel.Quote:

How powerful vibration can be to take a bullet before it resonates to death at 223368 frames per second.
Interesting to watch the glass stem begin to shatter from the base, then propagate to the spot the bullet hit.
How do they get video footage like that?
