There's a reason 4wd Toyotas are very popular builds, and that's because they're practically indestructible. Case in point, this '97 model LC80, which started life as a 40th anniversary model and has ended up as weekend rock crawler. What's amazing is that the build thread shows no heavy modifications to the basic vehicle, just guards, some reinforcements and bigger wheels and tires. With the factory reliability and creature comforts intact when you go offroading, what's not to like?
