Needed an Adjustable Height Hoist which can be unbolted and put on a trailer to take to Job-Sites when needed; however, most of the time the hoist is kept in the supply yard to load trailers going out to job-sites.

It took me a long time to build because I could just do a little at a time in my small workshop.

It can lift much more but we just use a 2-Ton Chain Hoist on the unit.

Measured from the bottom of the i-beam, the hoist goes from 12.5 feet down to a little lower than 7 feet.

The two 3-Ton Hydraulic rams can easily hold any load at a specific height but are really there to lower and raise the i-beam 20 inches at a time. Quick connections only take about 30 seconds to change for another 20 inches of adjustment.
( Of course, there are security bolt holes every 10 inches to secure the hoist on the chance the rams ever fail or loose pressure )

The hoist goes high enough to unload Semi Flatbed Trailers, but is stored normally in the 9 foot under the i-beam level and can be adjusted down 20" if needed with the rams.

The parts are all designed in SolidWorks CAD software and fabricated to be reconfigured and bolted together for use with different machinery needed during different stages of projects ... Thus many of the parts can be used for different items to hold and move equipment; hence, all the extra bolts holes & bolts.

Many of the bolts in the photos are just being stored for future use when the Hoist is converted into one of its many other uses.
( If there was room on the metal, I added more bolt holes just in case for future designs )

Have many other items I plan to make for use with the hoist parts but haven't had time to make them yet. Since everything is designed in the computer I know all the measurements to make sure future items will fit-up and function together.
( I will update when have more photos of the other uses )

Nothing fancy... but so far it has been a very helpful lifting unit.
