Airventure in Oshkosh, WI.

It is a re-enactment showing WWII air power without using real bombs. An important part of preserving our history as so many that lived it now gone.

You can feel the radiant heat even from several thousand feet away. Awesome air show!

I'm no tree hugger and I absolutely love airshows but really, that's done to preserve history?

It is a very informative and patriotic presentation. The wall of fire is timed so that it fits the narrative and the choreography of flight. Believe me, it is MUCH more impressive with the wall of fire. I have been to this airshow many times and the spoken word does not convey the same meaning as having it demonstrated right in front of you. There were some years where the wall of fire was not present and it wasn't the same.

That being said, it's only a few gallons of gasoline being converted back into the basic elements/compounds from which it came. The ultimate in recycling.
