I've watched Amish guys beating their horses. We have a rescue dog from an Amish OES breeder that started breeding her when she was barely 6 months old and bred her continuously until her litters dropped under 4 then they were going to shoot her. The rescue association we got her from collects the spent breeders and re-homes them. She's terrified of all men but she's one of the best dogs I've ever had. It's taken 3 years for her to warm up to me and she still keeps her distance whenever I'm standing up. That's just 2 I've actually witnessed.
