Angle Plate
I have been needing a smaller angle plate on some rare occasions, So I decided to make one, I do have several plates but nothing this small, The plate measures .500" X 1.500" X 1.500" x 1.500", It's made from O-1 tool steel hardened and tempered to about 55RC then ground flat parallel and square, There are 34 drilled and tapped holes all over the plate ( 10-24 ) which aids in securing something to the plate as well as relieving internal stress from the hardening and tempering. Nothing fancy, No rocket science, Just a plane old hardened and ground little angle plate, It will perform just nicely on the surface grinder, surface plate, milling machine or where ever.
Below are some photos of the plate, there is a 0-1 micrometer beside it, kind of gives an idea how small it is
Thanks for looking and happy machining
Doug
