Another guy who makes things and makes the tools to make them

Discovered this site today from a comment on locostusa.com (a scratch built car forum) and YOU GUYS ARE SO COOL but you know that already. My own site, kineticvehicles.com (and kineticaerospace.com if you're into movie props and James Bond stuff, and wheelability.com if you're into the diz biz) shows some of my products but I don't have much out on the tools I used to build them. I'm something of a compulsive tool builder, but often homemade tools is a Needs Must When The Devil Drives thing. For example, we had to make bodies for a half dozen flying things for a movie (Die Another Day) and I usually use fiberglass for such things, but the schedule was too tight to run six units through the molds, so I built a vacuforming machine and we made them out of ABS.

I'll be learning a lot from my fellow toolmakers here, and will attempt to add to the mix with my own efforts.

Hi JackMcCornack - welcome to HomemadeTools.net

Sounds like you'll fit in very nicely here. Cool sites; are those PHASST gliders just props, or are they functional?

Jack I really enjoyed the Max series. I'm looking forward to seeing some of the tools you may have had to build along the way
