    This is a more elegant version than to put a pointer in the mandrel or a chuck with just the extremity eccentrically turned at a decimal diameter on the lathe, and less easy to loose in the workshop than something looking like a pencil(I'm using the third version because that)…

    Yes, I have been thinking of doing that but it might be a little while before I get around to it. i already have a pile of other videos that i need to edit. There are videos on Gelbart's site that is referenced earlier in this post.

    Late update to show how I fixed the four point mounting.

    I cut back two of the original four contact points and added a flat head screw for a third point. I am much happier with it since I did that.

    Strange. When I viewed the post after writing it the pix showed fine. Now they say invalid link. I will try adding them to this post

    The direct links you put are good and on your post it's ok now, I don't know what happened before, for the pictures on the net the using my own website as hostage make me that sometimes too and need to reload the pictures, then ???
