Actually I joined 54 days ago but keep getting reminded I haven't made any posts yet. :) I'm always interested in seeing what people can come up with when they are stuck for that one tool that isn't in the toolbox. I was a mechanic before I retired and had to make lots of tools to get jobs done, but never thought of taking photos, and now they are mostly either thrown out or given away. I have a Myford ML7 that I made bits for, such as a tangential tool, travelling steady, tool posts, pseudo clutch, etc, but it never occurred at the time to take photos while I was making them. Not a tool, but I recently finished making a vertical spool valve steam engine that tubal cain/mrpete222 did a series on last year, and it runs nicely on air.

What's next up on your build list? Do you see any projects here that you might build yourself?

I just posted pics and a video of the steam engine. I'm hoping to move house in the next few months, so not much will be done in the garage until after the move, but what I do want to make is a small sheet metal folder. I should have made one 30 years ago but just never got round to it.
