Apple coring/peeling lathe worker, I guess? It's hard to believe this exists. However, I do like that hat/hood thing.

Amassing coordination, this is the first of these workers I believe we have seen wearing attire appropriate for the task at hand

My first real job in high school was working on an OLD apple peeling machine, it had been belt driven & was converted to electric motor. It was a huge iron contraption that was basically an armature to hold & provide motive force to 2 peelers much like the hand crank ones you can buy today. How no one got impaled on the coring bit I'll never know, it was the most dangerous thing I would ever see till I ran into a guy who has a 24" belt driven planer converted to electric from back in the days when safety guards were your eyes & common sense

I wonder if the feed is automatic or pedal controlled by operator?
