ARBOR PRESS TAP HOLDER.
You must drill a 1/2 inch hole in the square ratchet bar this requires a long drill bit, make a spinning handle with 2 spinning knobs, attach a drill chuck to the end of the 1/2 inch rod, buy a HF vise to hold the work. put wing nuts on the swivel vise to tighten it in place once you have lined up the tap to the hole you are tapping. shorten the leverage handle so it is out of the way. and put a stop knob on the front of the arbor to stop the square bar from moving while you are adjusting the tap.
I have used this tapping machine for 15 years and it gets the hole tapped straight .
I used a tapping handle for added torque to tighten the vise,
and I added some slotted angle iron to mount the vise.
