Automatic rail saw - video

That's pretty cool that it rocks - that keeps a smaller part of the balde doing the actual cutting all the time, not just buried in the cut - like my abrasive chop saw.
I saw the video of the guy who made his own log cabin in the woods and he cut timbers freehand with a chain saw, and he said it is CRITICAL to use the tip of the bar, NOT the length - b/c using the length takes more gas (power), dulls the blade faster (each tooth hits the wood a LOT, b/c the chips are thin. not thick) and it keeps the teeth cooler so they last longer (the heat is ejected with the swarf).
Way cool!
