It's not "counterboring". More appropriate terms would be 'deburring' or 'chamfering'.

I have three of these. Small, medium and large. They're great. They're so good at deburring that I use them for regular stuff that's easily accessed with normal tools. I highly recommend this tool to everyone. The only problem is there are intermediate sizes that is too large for the smaller one, and too small for the larger one. You would think they would make many sizes available to cover every hole size. They do not. Some sizes of hole simple cannot be deburred with this tool. Annoying, but otherwise a great addition to your toolbox.

You can make long cylinder bushings or split bushings attach or slide then over the end of the shaft just hold then away from the cutter head while inserting in the hole then slide the bushing down the shaft to fit the hole attach to drill and debur or champer as desired
Never try to tell me it can't be done

I can't quite picture what you're describing here - is it some way to address the issue of some hole sizes not being covered by the S, M, L bit sizes available? If so, could you perhaps clarify the description a bit?

You see in some cases it is not that the small size is too small or the middle size is too large the same would be true for the middle and large sixes as much as it is the diameter of the tool shank allowing the tool to go far enough off center one of the cutter edges falls into the bore and the tool will not do the job as intended. If you make a sleeve bushing split or solid which ever works best, to fit over the shank to hold the tool closer to center of the hole both edges of the cutter will function better. But doing this on thinner materials may require more creative approaches such as a round magnet encased in a steel housing. the kind normally found with a 1/4 to 1/2" bolt hole in them Simply drill out the hole to the size of the shank insert the tool through the hole and seat the magnet with the tool centered over the hole do the deburring operation while the magnet holds the tool shank centered in the hole. The principle is the same for the magnet or the sleeve either split or solid. Ny limiting the movement of the tool shank you can extend the effective deburring range of the various sizes of the tools
