Baguette bag. An early warning sign of the breakdown of culture.

Another harbinger of the breakdown of society:

re the steel toe Crocs.......
I'm flabbergasted, shocked as many likely are; the breakdown of society was found right here in my adopted home state.
And to think Washington, MO is but 14,000 something residents.
Warehouse gig didn't work out?
Was original owner swept off by a storm, these found unattached?
Maybe the company safety maven nearly died of shock, seeing these worn upon reporting in. Did they flaunt lottery winnings, causing swift termination?
Maybe the 1 year MBA in marketing didn't pan out; note the "$200 or best offer over $100". Oh dear THAT will really pull top dollar, I'm sure.
If a pair is in lil ol' Washington, Mo, how many are happily worn in Kalifornia? Wringing my hands in anguish, being my true home state.
Lol
Haven't seen any safety crocs here in the land of fruits and nuts yet but all the bicyclists wear those hob-nailed ballet slippers color coordinated with their clown suits and rubber band helmets.
"hob-nailed ballet slippers". Read that, and spewed lemonade through nose. Real lemons, citric acid and all.
Very nice.
I'm glad I could give you a chuckle - or should that be a snort?
Really, the bicycle scene here in the fruit basket has become supremely annoying. While you will see the occasional bracero in work clothes pedaling to his job, the overpowering majority of the people on two wheels are out to show off their ridiculously expensive bikes and their form-fitting clown suits. (When I'm king latex will be licensed.)
They already have the right to use some of the desert freeways...

We're hoping the liberal government will extend that right to all freeways, in which case, Darwinian corrections will soon eliminate the problem.
Well Marv; the snort was unavoidable, in turn made me chuckle. So I owe you one of each?
I like how the earth-saving argument is losing strength for bicyclists as automotive fuel efficiency increases, and people are calculating the per-calorie cost of food necessary to fuel bicyclists vs. the cost of gasoline necessary to fuel cars. Especially if the car riders are carpooling, and the bike riders are fueling themselves with heavily-marketed and overpriced "natural" food.
Reducing localized emissions from road travel in crowded urban areas will still always be reasonable. But the cult of enviro-friendly bicyclists is taking a hit.
Likely the cycling carb, fruit and fiber crowd are producing a bit of emissions too. Auto quantities, no.
These might be even worse than the steel-toed Crocs.
