Are the scientists even sure there is life on Earth?

Considering that the definition of life that I learned is that it exhibits irritability, I'd say yes. I've been told I can be very irritating, and have been known to be irritated, so I think one way or the other, I'm exhibiting irritability.

Bill; I'm fairly certain most on these forums understand there is life on this planet, however if comparing this idea to the seven planes of existence, then possibly not intelligent life. I'm just not at all convinced that scientists are able to conclude life exists on this planet.
