I'm new to woodworking, and my first project was my work bench. I inherited some old but useful tools, power and hand, and am testing them all out. I have a few mentors, and like using the Kreg jig system and tools. I also enjoy the hand tools and saws.

My recent quandary is positioning pieces to connect together. I have a vise on my worktable and plenty of clamps but am awkward in positioning the pieces together, or in positioning pieces for cutting and ripping.
