Wonder what would happen if that winch cable let go.

I have a 1972 Land Rover Series III Truck Cab/Pick-Up and a 1962 Land Rover Series 2a Carawagon Camper.
I have seen quite a few curved laminated things, usually they will be stacked together and steamed then formed as a stack allowed to cure then separated glued and re assembled this allows each lamination layer to be formed with lower stress to the fibers. Some are even tongue and grooved with shallow tongues and grooves to aid in maintaining the stacks shape, I wonder if this cylindrical shaped beam was done much the same way.

Someone please get the clamp guy a power tool.
If that anchor point gives way, the guy in the middle would find out what a block of cheese feels like under a wire cutter.
