Thumbs up The BEST way to pull nails with your CLAW HAMMER | video

A while ago, an old timer carpenter I know showed me a trick to pulling nails with a claw hammer. I have been pulling nails for 40 years and had never known this hack, so I made this video to share with everybody.
Any claw hammer will work and you will save time and effort by using this trick.

Been a woodworker and tinkerer for more than 40 years and this is the FIRST time I saw this method and now am looking to try it out on my next project. Thanks so much.

While his explanation for pulling nails using a hammer to bend and walk them out works fine for the slim slick wire nails out of a nail gun or common nails in the 2 1/2 to 3" size ranges try doing it with concrete or ringed decking or galvanized nails and many of them will break instead of pulling out.
Placing a block of wood under the hammers or crowbar to serve as a fulcrum works as well as anything most of the time. and is especially good if you are trying not to damage the surface of the wood with dings or bruises from your tools.
