German engineering is often thought to be the best and Russian engineering is inferior, I beg to differ. Russian engineers have designed the most rugged and most reliable technology as exemplified by the T-34, AK-47, Soyuz, etc. I'm not about to start a debate here, just my 2 cents.

Here we have a German bike with Russian mods, a combination of precision and ruggedness. Builder Bli55 on AdvRider.com "Russified" his BMW G650X to cope with the tough Russian roads. Might add that word to my dictionary, synonymous to tough as F bike.
