It would have been interesting to see how it learned, or is it just flapping around and the sensor picks it up. We need to see it do it again!

There are a number of videos showing crows using cars to crack nuts for them. They deliberately drop or set the nut on a road and wait for a car to run it over then swoop in and eat the nut meat. Interesting that they have made enough logical connections to develop that particular method.

Different animals adapt to their immediate, likely unnatural environment. It just has to be, that one discovers or observes something it can duplicate and others pick up on it. Great proof toward 'survival of the fittest'; if not evolution, because same species elsewhere haven't developed same trick.

Can report one instance, repeated everytime I mow. Of all the birds common to our area, robins and orioles follow me, where shorter grass reveals all kinds of treats. I suspect its bugs because various random seeds are evident, mown or not.
