Blade and Bit Heigth Gage Measuring tool

This was a kit that I purchased years ago. Still use it today.
Very easy to set your table saw blade height and router bit height.
Set the collar on a drill bit to exact depth.

This is a beautiful looking height gage tool. What type of wood came with the kit and do you remember the company supping the kit?

I think this would be perfect for my table saw and router table to avoid dulling or damaging the cutting tools. I currently use a steel combination square and have been looking for a better method.

The first couple of links are what I found online while searching for that tool and that led to more stuff etc.
I finally found the issue in question and it was from Shop Notes. I don't think they still sell kits but you can get plans.

The one in question came from Shop Notes magazine. That magazine and Woodsmith are the best
sources of plans for woodworking jigs,fixtures,furniture,benches, it just goes on and on.
I had most of them and turned them all over to my son who has just started into serious woodworking.
(he just bought an 8" Powermatic Jointer.)

Thank you very much for your research and inspiration. I plan to finally retire this coming June and will have more time so I am already planing future projects to tackle to stay busy (like I am not already busy with work/fun?).

In the late 1950's my parents took our family to Colonial Williamsburg. I was so inspired with the fact tools and beautiful furniture could be made with the simplest of tools that this experience got me started on my own tool making endeavors. Your Blade and Bit Heigth Gage Measuring tool reminds me of these tools.

Sounds great Paul, metal working and wood working hobbies make "work" fun.
The only thing better is going to Yellowstone or Alaska for a week of taking photos.
